The 2018 Hamilton Mill Invitational sponsored by the Men's Golf Association is the golf event of the year at Hamilton Mill.   We look forward to providing each contestant with a great tournament experience that will be the highlight of the summer.

REGISTRATION/ENTRY

  • Use this website to register you and your guest/partner.  Click on Invitational  Sign-Up and completely fill in all information requested. Incomplete registrations will not be accepted.
  • Teams can be comprised of Member/Member or Member/Guest.
  • Invitational is open to all male members of Hamilton Mill with full, unrestricted golf memberships and their guest that are at least 21 years old.
  • Entry fee is $525 per team and will be billed to your HMGC account.  Team purchase (Calcutta) is $150 per team, CASH ONLY, for a total cost of $675 per team.
  • The entry fee includes:
    • Great tournament gifts with a retail value of $250. "BUILD YOUR OWN" package from Titleist, Cutter & Buck, or FootJoy. Each participant will receive a point budget.  Pick gifts to your point limit or go on a shopping spree and buy as much as you would like at "DEEPLY DISCOUNTED PRICES".
    • Friday lunch.
    • Friday night reception - GENTLEMEN ONLY
    • Breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday
    • Dinner on Saturday evening.  Spouses and/or significant others are welcome to join us for dinner.  There is an additional charge of $40 per person for spouses/significant others. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR DINNER.
    • On course beverage service for non-alcoholic beverages
    • Cash payout for daily performance (provided by the MGA)
    • Team CTP's on Saturday.
    • All green and cart fees for Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday
  • Registration opens 8 AM March 29, 2018
  • Registration closes 8 PM May 27, 2018
  • HAMILTON MILL WILL BE CLOSING THE COURSE AND CLUB HOUSE FACILITY TO ALL NON-PARTICPANTS  AT 10 AM FRIDAY MORNING JUNE 8TH.  WE MUST HAVE 48 TEAMS SIGNED UP BY THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION IN ORDER TO HAVE THE EVENT AS PLANNED.  AFTER WE GET TO 48 TEAMS WE WILL ADD TEAMS IN GROUPS OF SIX SO DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO SIGN UP. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TEAMS IS 60.
  • CANCELLATIONS ON OR AFTER MAY 28, 2018 WILL RESULT IN A 50% CHARGE OF THE ENTRY FEE TO YOUR HMGC ACCOUNT.

FORMAT

  • Each flights will consist of six teams.
  • Flights will be determined by total team handicap.
  • Each flight will play 5 nine hole matches.
  • One point will be awarded for each hole won for a total of 9 points per match.
  • Strokes will be calculated off the lowest handicap in each match.
  • Play will be from the Tournament Tees.  Participants 65+ years young may choose to play from the White Tees.  Handicap Rule 3.5 will be in effect.  If you choose the White Tees for the tournament and qualify for the Shoot Out, you must play from the White Tees during the Shoot Out.
  • USGA Rules will govern all play.

DAY MONEY (provided by the MGA)

  • Day money will be paid in cash to the teams that finish first and second in their flights after the first three matches on Friday and Saturday and after the last two matches on Sunday.

THE SHOOT OUT

  • Flight winners will automatically qualify for the Shoot Out.
  • In the event of a tie for first place in a flight both teams will go to the Shoot Out.
  • In the event of a tie for first place in a flight, for payout purposes, the winner will be determined based on the teams head to head match during the tournament.
  • A team that does not win their flight but does not lose a match will qualify for the Shoot Out.
  • Pay off will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Pay off will be in Pro Shop Credit.

HANDICAPS

  • A current, active (as of 4-1-2018) and verifiable USGA handicap is required to participate - THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • Handicap index is based on the June 1st updates to your particular handicap system. Course handicaps will be established based on your pre-selection of playing the TOURNAMENT tees (course rating 72.2, slope 136) or the WHITE tees (course rating 69.3, slope 123). USGA handicap rule 3.5 is in effect.
  • There is a maximum of a 10 point differential in handicap index for playing partners.  If the maximum of 10 is exceeded the highest index will be reduced so the differential is 10.
  • The tournament committee reserves the right to review, approve and adjust all handicaps.
  • The tournament committee reserves the right to review and adjust any handicap index submitted that is more than 3 points higher than the lowest handicap index over the last six months.

SCHEDULE of EVENTS

JUNE 7th

  • Practice Round - Schedule a tee time by calling the the HMGC Pro Shop. Guest fees will be $40 plus tax.  You may reserve a tee time for the practice round starting May 1st.
  • Optional Gross and Net skin game.  You may enter both. $5 entry fee per person per game entered.  Sign up when you check in the golf shop.
  • HMGC will be offering dinner specials in the evening.  Dinner is optional and not included in the tournament entry fee.  You are encouraged to make reservations.

JUNE 8th

  • 10 AM - 2 PM:
    • Tournament Registration
    • Buffet Lunch
    • Pick up tee gifts in Couples Cafe'
    • Team Purchase in Club House Lobby.  Buy your team (Calcutta) for $150 CASH ONLY. Pay out will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each flight.  Pay out will be in cash.
    • Team/Flight announcment
  • 2:15 PM: Players to their carts
  • 2:30 PM: Match #1 Shot Gun start
  • 5:30 - 9 PM: Welcome Reception - GENTLEMEN ONLY PLEASE
    • Food, beer, and soft drinks will be provided
  • 7:00 - 8:30 PM -Special Skills event

SATURDAY JUNE 9th

  • 7 AM - 8:15 AM
    • Practice Range open
    • Full Breakfast buffet
  • 8:15 AM - Golfers to their carts
  • 8:30 AM - Match #2 Shot Gun start
  • 11:15 AM - Match #3 Shot Gun start
  • 1:30 to 2:30 PM - Buffet lunch in the Grande Hall
  • 6:30 PM - 7 PM - Reception in Grande Hall
  • 7:00 - 9:30 PM:
    • Dinner buffet in the Grande Hall (RESERVATIONS REQUIRED)
    • Music on the Veranda


SUNDAY JUNE 10th

  • 7 AM - 8:15 AM
    • Practice Range open
    • Light Breakfast buffet
  • 8:30 AM - Match #4 Shot Gun start
  • 11:15 AM - Match #5 Shot Gun start
  • 1:30 to 2:30 PM - Buffet lunch in the Grande Hall
  • 2:45 PM: Players to their carts
  • 3:00 PM - Shoot Out

Water and soft drinks will be provided all day on Saturday and Sunday on # 5 tee, the Club House and on # 14 tee.  Beverage cart service will be available on both the front and back nines each day.

PACE OF PLAY

You are expected to complete each nine hole match in 2 hours and 10 minutes or less.  It is your responsibility to stay up with the group ahead of you....not the group behind you.
